A good result and pleasing performance at a venue that traditionally is a tough place for us to play.

During the week and in the pre match preparation it was stressed to the team that a fast start was a must for us and the need to control early was paramount. The players obviously had that in mind and to be 2 up inside 5 minutes was obviously just what the doctor ordered.

We ran the game almost exclusively after that and were very comfortable and professional all night. Mario, Willie and Darren were again well organised and dominant at the back and were very unlucky not to keep another clean sheet.

Terry and Rhys were unable to put in a full weeks training last week so it was good that we were able to give them an early mark and give the exciting young guns Mclean and Dumpies some time to show their wares.

Once again Cody put in an unbelievable shift and of course Unsy opened his League account in dramatic fashion.

We have opened the league in impressive form but we are by no means the finished article,we still have areas that need improvement but everyone is working in the right direction and we have got the start we wanted.
