| ROUND 4 - RUMBLE IN THE REDLANDS |
Rovers on the other hand have shaken off their dodgy pre season form and sit proudly atop the Veto Premier League ladder with Brisbane City, Capalaba and 2009 nemesis Peninsula Power on all 6 points. 8 goals to the good and key players firing, it has been a dream start for the Underwood based side. Both sides are fresh after having games postponed due to the recent rain that's been experienced here in Brisbane, so expect both sides to go at each other hammer and tong. Redlands will be hoping that Woodruffe, Lindemann, Fyfe & Homer continue their recent good form, with Fyfe in particular earning rave reviews from various pundits around Brisbane. Last season's QSL top scorer Woodruffe will also be keen to play well, given he's coming up agaist his former club. Coupled with the mentioned players, Danny Byrne will be looking to re-discover his rhythm, when he is on song he is almost unstoppable. Rochedale's impressive backline will have the job of stopping the attacking flair and guile of Redlands. Darren Gray and Will Tumusiime have been immense so far in 2010, and Mario Aparicio has made 1 or 2 brilliant saves to show that he is here to stay as the Rochedale custodian. Chris Burley's re-emergence in the top side just in front of the central defensive pairing has added an element of solidarity to the whole defensive third, resulting in the excellent start to the season. Much has been made of Rovers attacking quartet of Unsworth, Hughes, Tabulo & Lovell and they haven't disappointed, accounting for all of the side's goals this season and generally causing all kinds of worry in the opposition penalty area. Redlands experienced backline of Ryan Bridge will have to be on their games to prevent Rochedale getting on top early. A big test is in the pipeline for both sides here, Redlands coming up against the first major player since their return from the QSL, while Rochedale will be hoping to continue their good form as they lead into the following week's clash with Peninsula Power. The match has the making of a fast, free flowing game of football, a little touch of class from either side could be the deciding factor... The main game kicks off at 7:00pm, preceded by the Reserves doing battle at 4:45pm (Cleveland Showgrounds, Cleveland). |

Rochedale Rovers travel to Cleveland this Saturday night to face a Redlands United side who are already battling inconsistency in Brisbane's top league. A gutsy first up win against Silver Boot finalists Souths United has been overshadowed by a 3-2 loss to Pine Hills, a result that would have disappointed ex-Rovers Premiership winning coach and now Redlands coach Peter Bannon.
