More valuable points were picked up after a performance that was workmanlike and professional. At this stage of the season a lot of the games seem to turn into grinding affairs and with every team in the league still having something to play for that has become even more so. Redlands, whilst not being ultra defensive did play for most of the game with three stoppers and five at the back, so it required us to show a lot of patience. We also had to make sure that we didn't let frustration get the better of us. We managed to do that and thanks to the deadly finishing of the league's leading scorer (Carl Tabulo) we got what we deserved.
This week we travel to face current champions Peninsula Power who are very much in form and by all accounts they are very confident of beating us, and from their perspective rightly so. They are a team very much in form, scoring goals and by all reports playing an exciting brand of football. They will obviously be playing the game with one thought in mind and that will be to beat us. We wouldn't have it any other way, much too often we have come up against teams who have set out purely to stop us playing and we much prefer to play against a team trying to win. Between us we played what I consider the game of the season so far earlier this year and I see no reason why that can't be repeated considering the talent that will be on show. Ken Armstrong |

The loss of Chris Burley due to illness just before the game was a blow as was Rhys Hastings becoming sick during the match but as has been mentioned numerous times before, the depth; and quality of the depth we have is exceptional and being able to bring in Darren Gray from the start and introduce James Donachie into the battle early in the second half meant that our setbacks were well covered.
