| ROUND 19 - KEN'S POST MATCH WRAP |

Ken Armstrong gives his thoughts on Saturday's match against Beenleigh and then Wednesday nights Cup QF against North Pine
2 games played, 2 wins and 4 goals scored in each game is a great result and has helped us march on in the league and keep our cup dream alive as well. Those are the stats but in reality our performances in both games was sub standard in a lot of areas. Our passing in both games was poor in both selection and execution and our decision making in certain situations was baffling at times. Our ability to score got us the results desired but we are certainly looking for more quality in our build up play. This week we play against Taringa Rovers, one of the form teams of the moment and another team who have had no problem finding the net. We know that they will be trying to win this one and as I've said before we would not have it any other way. We have risen to every challenge so far and will have to do so again to get anything from this one. We have a number of players who for various reasons were unavailable for one or both of our last two fixtures but most will be back on deck this week. One who will not be available is club captain Steve Carter who suffered a broken ankle last week and is out for the remainder of the season. Carty is obviously a very popular figure at the club and everyone wishes him a speedy recovery. Ken Armstrong |
